Seabourn: The QUEST for Perfection

It is easy to say what makes a less than perfect experience on a vacation, whether it be on land or on sea,  It is rather more difficult to say what makes the experiece wonderful.  It could be the service, the cuisine, the itinerary, the weather or a combination of all of those things.

I’m going to begin this post with the ending.  My Seabourn Quest cruise that began on May 17, 2018 in Dover, England and ended on June 1, 2018 in Reykjavik, Iceland, was just about as close to perfect as a cruise could be.

The Seabourn Quest is the third and newest of the Odyssey Class of vessels.  Launched in 2011, she is for many, the perfect combination of size and amenities.  Her 450 guests cruise in all suite accommodations (most with balconies) and are looked after by an international crew of 335 ladies and gentlemen.  Choices abound on any Seabourn vessel.  Whether you are lookimg for choices in dining (there are 4 restaurants and of course room service from the dining room) or entertainment (casino, three different lounges and a showroom) or just a place for relaxing (there are teo swimming pools and four whirlpool tubs) there is something for everyone.

My upcoming posts will talk about the entire cruise.  I’ll look at the ports, the shore experiences I had, what to see and what to do and what to pass on.  I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on the cuisine, the restaurants and the service.   I hope you will enjoy the posts and going along on my perfect Quest!
